The Brief
Classmate sells the same notebooks and pens on Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart all year. With no new launch in sight, growth had to come from how well existing demand was captured.
The Objective
Improve advertising efficiency and ad sales on both platforms without a larger budget.
The Idea
On Blinkit, restructure: one SKU per campaign, split by city, on exam-season keywords. On Instamart, drop impulse formats and run auto-suggested ads on high-intent keywords only.
The Work
Blinkit, January to March: pen campaigns had a ROAS of 1.1. A focused blue pen campaign on exam-season keywords reached 10.77, while the old one ran at half its spend. One A4 spiral notebook in a city-split campaign returned 33 times its spend. Instamart: last-minute add-ons failed, so we moved to auto-suggested ads on notebook, spiral notebook and blue gel. They now bring about 90% of ad sales.
